Responsibilities:
Tax Return Preparation:
Oversee and prepare approximately 200 tax returns annually, predominantly Form 1040s and 1041s, with a handful of Form 1065s.
Business Development:
Spearhead the growth and development of our tax business by attracting and retaining new business clients requiring accounting services.
Operational Leadership:
Be responsible for the profitability of the tax division, with the opportunity to share in its profit as it grows.
Client Meetings:
Collaborate closely with wealth management advisors and clients, ensuring a holistic approach to financial management and ensuring client satisfaction.
Tax Projections:
Assist wealth management clients with tax projections throughout the year, helping them understand potential tax liabilities and strategies for optimization.
Qualifications and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
A CPA designation is a strong advantage.
Proven experience in tax return preparation, preferably with a focus on Forms 1040, 1041, and 1065.
Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
Entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in growing and leading a business division.
