HR Generalist

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting all Bimeda sites and employees in North America.


The HR Generalist is involved with nearly all programs and services that relate to Bimeda?s North America?s HR Shared Services division. This role will lead full-cycle recruitment and employee onboarding, promote employer branding, manage HRIS database and diverse reports, conduct HR audit, maintain up to date labor law knowledge to ensure company policy and practice are in compliance with federal, states and local regulations and ordinances. The HR Generalist will also serve as a liaison to answer inquiries from employees and managers and provide support in the handling of employee relations issues. This role will also need to conduct some ad hoc searches and keep a continuous improvement mind set to promote efficient and seamless workflows and internal communication.


Responsibilities

Full-cycle Recruitment (50%)




  • Partner managers to create job requisitions, review and revise job descriptions, utilize different resources / tools to screening and sourcing candidates actively


  • Conduct phone screening, schedule interviews and assist in interview process


  • Manage offer letter, reference check and background screen


  • Lead the pre-employment process by collaborating with IT, Payroll and the hiring manager to complete the new hire setups


  • Create employee profile, oversee the completion of new hire, payroll and benefits enrollment documents


  • Serving as a point person for all new employee questions


  • Implement and monitor a consistent new employee on-boarding process that includes a general orientation, an overview of company policies and procedures, harassment training, benefits orientation


  • Follow up with new hires to complete 30 Day Survey to and help managers/supervisors to ensure a positive on-boarding experience and process


  • Keep abreast of market trends and statistics and provide suggestions for talent acquisition


  • Manage and maintain good relationship with external staffing vendors



HR Systems & HCM Reporting (25%)




  • Implement and improve Applicant Tracking System (ATS) system and provide hiring managers tutorial training concerning transactions in ATS


  • Ensure that employee records and HRIS are maintained in a timely, accurate and complete manner


  • Performs data audits, cleaning and reconciliations to ensure data integrity in HRIS


  • Assist HRIS Global Project Manager in functionality design and implementation by performing testing, troubleshooting and reviewing local compliance requirements


  • Develop and build various HCM reports, i.e. Absence, Headcount, Turnover, Talent Acquisition to provide insights for workforce planning, HR operations and possible HR initiatives


  • Support ad hoc reporting requests across the organization



Employee Relations & Compliance (15%)




  • Maintain records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions


  • Oversee completion of termination documents and assisting with exit interviews


  • Creating and distributing internal communications including memos and announcements


  • Provide assistance to help managers and employees interpret and follow with company policies and procedures


  • Provide needed coordination for case management in ADA, FLMA, Workers? Comp, etc.


  • Help troubleshoot and develop standing policies based on updates in laws, regulations or ordinances


  • Improve alignment and standardization across the organization in HR matters (i.e. common templates, forms and policies)


  • Coordinate onsite training events, i.e. anti-discrimination and harassment training



Compensation & Benefits (10%)




  • Conduct market research and provide insights for salary benchmarking


  • Assist in building a framework for job analysis and job pricing


  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, WARN, etc.


  • Conduct Benefits Orientation, assist in open enrolment and answer employees? benefits inquiries or questions



Job Requirements

Experience




  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience performing generalist duties; preferably with 3+ years of HR Generalist work experience


  • Minimum 1 year HRIS administration experience


  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry is highly preferred


  • Experience in process improvement or ATS setup will be a plus



Education




  • BA/BS degree in relative disciplines, i.e. Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Organization Development, etc.


  • PHR?or PHRca Certificate will be a big plus??? ?



Technical




  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEOC, ADA, and FMLA


  • Demonstrated general understanding of various benefit programs; medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, leaves of absence and worker's compensation


  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills, especially Excel skills, proficiency in using PivotTable, VLookup, Excel Tables are required


  • Knowledge or experience with California HR operations will be a plus


  • Strong research and data analysis skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
