Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. This opportunity includes: coordinating customer account information and resolving questions regarding time sensitive shipments. You provide support by tracking shipments, troubleshooting customer inquiries and updating customer invoice information. Problem solving, planning, and a commitment to the highest level of customer service are skills we highly desire. Position requires computer savvy skill sets, and ability to keep up with the fast paced logistics environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Improve and maintain customer relationships
Track and trace the status of shipments
Accurate data entry skills
Demonstrate strong problem-solving techniques
Recognize when a team member is in need of assistance
Ability to learn daily airfreight/trucking reports
Extensive email and phone communications
Respond to customer requests for cargo pick-ups and rate quotes
Responsible for providing accurate computer generated and written reports
Processing special rate requests as needed
Ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency of work performed
Work with various internal departments and terminals
Ability to take directions and demonstrate good listening skills
Qualifications:
1+ years Customer Service experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of the Internet, email, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to quickly learn multiple web-based systems and software
Excellent communication skills.
Must be detailed oriented while multitasking.
Use good judgment in completing work tasks.
Strong leadership skills
Hours/Schedule: We have two shifts available. Both shifts will cover Tuesday through Saturday, and the hours are as follows:
Days:
Tuesday through Saturday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Evenings:
Tuesday through Friday - 5:00pm to 1:00am
Saturday - 4:00pm to 12:00am
Salary range: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
